The General Meeting on Tuesday 28th July will be followed by the AGM, when you will be able to nominate yourself or others to stand for the various Committee positions for 2026/27. We are currently looking for members to fill the positions of Membership Secretary and Social Secretary, currently existing committee members are doubling up on their responsibilities. This is far from ideal and all members should be asking themselves not what the club can do for them, but what can they can do for the club. There are many anniversary badges to be presented on the night and the Clubman of the Year award will also be presented.
I talked about catering at the last General Meeting, in particular the possibility of the club providing pie floaters for supper. This has proved to be far too expensive to supply a decent pie for attendees. Instead Evangeline Finnie has promised to provide pumpkin soup and crusty bread rolls for all. We hope to see a good turnout of members at these meetings.
