Midweek Ride, Wednesday 6th March

19 Mar

It was a warm sunny day as 13 riders followed Tony, up Greenhill Rd, heading for a morning
stop at Wistow. Stopping briefly at the Summertown CFS to gather our riders, we turned left at
Uraidla then followed the road to the Cold Store at Lenswood, it was then right on Tiers Rd to
Woodside and a quick dog’s leg to Nairne Rd, at Nairne roundabout we turned right onto Old
Princess Hwy and then left at the next roundabout over the Freeway. Your reporter suffered total confusion as we wound out way through the outer edges of Mt Barker, not until we were on Peach Rd, did things come into focus again. At Wistow it became obvious that we had lost half of our riders somewhere but they turned up shortly coming from Mt Barker on the Wellington Rd!

Wistow Bakery was overrun with motorcyclists inside and out, but we managed to fit in and
enjoyed our morning break. It was decided that Goolwa would be a cool place for lunch. It was
warming up.

After the break it was down Wellington Rd, to Woodchester then left on Meechi Rd, to
Langhorne Creek, right on Lake Plains Rd, to Milang, round the lake past Clayton and into Goolwa and lunch at the Bakery in the main street and it was much cooler! The remaining seven riders decided that it would be unthinkable not to ride Bull Creek Rd on the way home. A brief stop at Meadows and then each turned for home. Your Reporter had a more eventful ride home but that’s another story!
Another very enjoyable ride!

Join us for the next Club Run on Tuesday 19th March, meeting at Hawthorn Crescent, Hazlewood
Park, 9.30 for 10am start.
