Shortly, members will be receiving an automated email from The Classic Owners, inviting them to renew their membership via a provided link. In that email will be instructions on how to renew your membership and how you can access your personal membership record online, as well as how to create/change your password. This payment option will automatically generate a receipt, which you can print off for your records. This is the club’s preferred method and the quickest.
Renewal rates for 2020/21 are:
Full membership $35, Concession membership $30, Magazine (if you need a hard copy posted to you) an additional $10.
Should you be unable to pay using the preferred online method, alternative payment methods are:
- Online banking
BSB – 105 074 Account number – 050754240 Account Name – The Classic Owners MCC SA Inc.
If you use online banking, you can print off your own receipt for your records.
- Bank SA
You can pay into any Bank SA branch using the attached file ‘Bank deposit.pdf’. Print off and complete the document – fill in the date, your name, membership number and sign. Ask the teller to include your name & membership number on the receipt.
- Personal cheque or postal order
Send your cheque/postal order with a self addressed envelope to:
The Classic Owners MCC SA Inc, PO Box 642, Plympton, SA 5038
A receipt will be sent to you via the post after your payment has been received. You must appreciate, there will be a delay of several days before you receive it. Allow plenty of time between payment and your expected trip on your historic vehicle. Please do NOT send log books this year – see below.
Our usual Log Book Day cannot be held this year, due to the virus restrictions, so we have contacted the Vehicle Registration department regarding the updating of log books for 2020/21. The Dept have indicated that the primary requirement is to be a current financial member of the club. After you have paid your subs, you can fill in the Commencement and Expiry dates in your log book for 2020/21.
Payment receipts MUST be kept, inserted in your log book (if you intend to run an historic vehicle) and produced if requested by SAPOL, as proof of club membership.
It is a government requirement, under the Historic Vehicle Registration scheme, that you have a current membership of the club before you run your vehicle on South Australian roads. Contravention could lead to a large fine or banishment from the scheme for life.
Please bear in mind that, by law we have to notify the Vehicle Registration department within 14 days after the 30th June, of all non-financial members and this automatically cancels your historic registration.
Please note: The above only applies to vehicles which are included as part of the historic registration scheme; for all modern vehicles (ie. those less than 30 years old), the normal registration rules apply. Even if you don’t run an historic vehicle, we’d still like to see you renew as a member for the 2020/21 year.
If you have any issues regarding your membership, contact the Membership Secretary, Ed Lowrey on 0413 304 979. Contact Bob Finnie, Machine Registrar on 08 8248 2220 or 0411 687 666, if you have any questions regarding log books or historic registration.
