SideCar unfinished Project
Body copied from a old Tilbrook sports sidecar that was damaged. We made a mould and then made 3 of the new one. Modifications were made for a headlight and other lights needed these days. (3 were made, others sold interstate at least 8 years ago) This one, the body was made wider to 24inches instead of the original 19inches.
The chassis has a trailing arm, air bag suspension and shocker. Hydraulic Disc Brake from a Galant, new 13inch mag wheel and tyre. New wheel bearings, and Foam for the seating. Also a perspex screen, all included. Needs a new interested party. I can show how I was going to finish it.
It is unfinished as I no longer have need for an outfit (I took too long to finish) Life got in the way. Interest diminishes with time available and ability.
1984 Yamaha Virago 1000cc
Overhead Cam V Twin. 13000kms only. Original tyres, no damage. But needs a good wash. I took it to a club display at Strathalbyn some years ago, then took it home and started making brackets to attach the sidecar. All brackets can be removed. No welded alterations. It is Shaft drive but no battery. 10 years in Storage under a tarp. Matching Numbers

Would take a good offer for the pair, had offers for the Sidecar only, but would prefer to sell both together. The Virago is the later 990cc model, where they made the bores a wee bit smaller so a better, wider, head gasket could be used. (They used to blow the back pot head gasket on the earlier 1000s and 750s) This is a very quick bike. (Eats Harleys for Supper, so I was told) Sorry for that, couldn’t resist it. This is not a cruiser.
Open to a fair offer, unwilling, but will separate to right person.
Sidecar $2,000 ono
Virago $4,500 firm.
1980 Yamaha SR500 cc
Condition fair not restored. Goes very well. Near new Tyres, new battery and Chains and sprockets. Fuel system updated to overcome the common SR500 problems with new custom-made brass float and Ported Spacer to take a modern Yamaha petrol tap. The Alternator /ignition system has been replaced with the new updated unit supplied direct from Japan. Self-cancelling trafficators. No dents and looks quite good. Just fitted a new ignition coil from Japan. New factory clutch cable just fitted. I have the second disc that will fit the front wheel with all attachments. Starts easy if you know how…. Definitely a Man’s Bike. Good Ride. Matching numbers.
